ONLINE TRAINING - 40 Hour Hazwoper Hybrid Training
Our comprehensive 40-Hour HAZWOPER course is interactive (using 360 video and virtual reality practice scenarios) reviewing topics that relate to Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), including site characterization, hazardous chemicals, radiation hazards, personal protective equipment (PPE), and decontamination methods.
Who Needs HAZWOPER 40-Hour Training Online?
Our 40-Hour HAZWOPER online training is ideal if you are exposed (or potentially exposed) to hazardous waste and substances at work. Particularly, the training is a must if you're an emergency responder or you clean, store, dispose, or treat hazardous materials. ONLINE TRAINING - Business Safety and Success during the COVID 19 Pandemic - Employees
Staying healthy and safe begins with education and reliable information. This comprehensive training program delivers expert guidance from health professionals, human resource experts, education leaders, and industrial hygienists. Using a machine-learning software known as Adaptive 3.0, the program adapts to our individual learning style and behaviors, and allows us to choose how we learn best. Some of us prefer to learn by watching videos, and some by reading - with this training, we have the choice. Best of all, you can take this on any device, anywhere.
The course covers the basics on how to help prevent catching and spreading influenza, COVID-19, foodborne diseases, the real science behind masks, physical distancing, and other infection prevention tips. It also delivers guidance on employee rights and how we can make simple choices to stay healthier, safer, and more informed. Individuals who complete the course will earn 0.2 Continuing Education Units through the University of Utah. This program was funded in party by The National Institutes of Health and The U.S. Department of Commerce.

In order to receive a certificate of full course completion, you must also complete the hands-on, practical portion of the training provided by your local CERT program. The 8-hour HAZWOPER Refresher course satisfies OSHA's requirement for eight hours of annual HAZWOPER refresher training. This training is designed for workers and managers at hazardous waste operations who previously completed 40- or 24-hour HAZWOPER training.
The 8-hour HAZWOPER Refresher course will keep you up to date on a wide range of topics relevant to hazardous waste operations, including:
- Decontamination
- Toxicology
- Levels of Protection
- Detecting Hazardous Materials
- Respirators
- Site Safety Planning
- Hazard Communication
- Hazardous Waste
According to OSHA's HAZWOPER standard, workers and supervisors at hazardous waste operations must be trained on these topics annually to remain competent.
